Dammar varnish
Dammar varnish is used for thinning oil paints, fixing intermediate layers of paint and coating finished art works. It provides additional glitter and depth. It protects a painting work from environmental influence. It is a reversible varnish and may be removed from the work using a diluent containing pinene or turpentine. Forms a transparent elastic water-proof film after drying.
